"Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson obviously lost some fans with his anti-gay comments last year. On Tuesday, MSNBC shared that a graduation who decided to honor Phil actually made some of the faculty walk out of the big event. Three of the staff members at Louisiana Tech’s commencement ceremony Saturday left when they started talking about Phil in a positive light.

Phil was the honored guest at the big event. They announced that he would get an award on Friday and then the event took place on Saturday. Normally they don't even announce who it will be before the event but for some reason they thought it should be announced ahead of time.

The university stood by the members of their staff saying, "The right to express and debate differences in opinions, ideologies, and values is at the core of a university community, and Louisiana Tech certainly supports its faculty in this exercise of free expression." Phil Robertson was not even at the event, but Alan and Kay were there to accept the award for him.

Last year Phil Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" really upset a lot of people when he made anti-gay comments. He actually was suspended from the show for a short amount of time.
