'Duck Dynasty' star album: Uncle Si releases country album

A "Duck Dynasty" star has released a music album. Yes, you read that right. Uncle Si has released a country music album ahead of the sixth season of the popular A&E reality show. According to The Inquisitr, Uncle Si, 66, recorded the album with the help of Kix Brooks of the country group Brooks & Dunn. The album, titled "Me and My Smokin’ Hot Honey," was a lot of fun for Uncle Si, who says that he may take up a serious music career.

"I’m gonna make this my new career choice. I had a blast!" Uncle Si said (via Fox News). The "Duck Dynasty" star used his wife, Christine, as inspiration for quite a few of his tracks. "Can’t Take the Swamp Outta the Man" was a duet with Kix Brooks and a "surprise" for Si's wife of 43 years. Si says his wife "loves" Kix.

The "Duck Dynasty" star enjoyed recording an album and, so far, fans seem to be interested in hearing the songs -- but it's too early to tell whether or not fans are buying the record because it's good or because they are just curious. There are six songs on the EP and so far, the album is receiving positive reviews. On iTunes, the EP has received 5/5 stars from 28 people -- and a lot of people have nothing but great things to say about Uncle Si's new music.

Do you think Uncle Si has a future in music? What do you think of his new country EP?
