The guys at “Duck Dynasty” are always giving CEO Willie Robertson a hard time, so he has his share of stress, at least on the show. On March 10, Highlands Fellowship posted a video from their “Duck Dynasty” series with a sermon by Pastor Allen Jessee on dealing with stress. You can watch the video here.
Highlands Fellowship is a contemporary church with several locations around the region: Bristol, Abingdon, Marion, Johnson City, and Kingsport. They now also have what they refer to as an “Online Campus,” too. You can get the exact worship times and directions to each location here.
According to Pastor Allen Jessee’s blog, this "Duck Dynasty" series is designed to make it easy to invite friends to church. The church has a vision statement as follows:
“Creating a church where IMPERFECT People LOVE to Attend”
In his blog, he discusses how they are always busy trying to find ways to get people to want to attend. The “Duck Dynasty” series is part of Highlands Fellowship’s “Just One” program. The pastor discusses the “Just One” campaign in his blog:
"We are in the midst of challenging all of our regular attenders to invest and invite “JUST ONE” person to a weekend service over the next few weeks. JUST ONE has been a huge WIN for our church as we have seen many of you bring your friends and watch God begin to capture their hearts with His love."
"Duck Dynasty" on A&E Network is the top-rated cable television program this season. People are going crazy about the redneck multi-millionaires from Louisiana who market duck calls fashioned out of swamp wood. The original Duck Commander duck call was fashioned by the family patriarch, Phil Robertson. If you missed last week's "Duck Dynasty" episode, you can catch up on your episodes here.
The Robertson clan is very outspoken about their Christian faith, and viewers love the fact that each episode ends with a prayer around the long dinner table.
