‘Duck Dynasty’ season 3 to begin airing on Feb. 27

Duckaholics will be pleased to know that their favorite sharp dressed men are on their way back to A&E.

In an article dated Wednesday, Jan. 30, The News Star revealed that except for the finale filming, the production is just about to wrap, and season 3 is set to begin airing on Feb. 27.

"It's the end of a long run, so we're worn out and tired, but we're real pleased with the results," Willie Robertson told The News Star. "There's some wild stuff people are going to see in season three."

Duck Dynasty’ season 2 was even more successful than the highly rated season 1, and at this point it looks as though this hit show will only continue upward and onward. The 2012 finale was A&E’s most watched telecast of all time reaching an astounding 6.5 million viewers.

There’s something about the genuine and clean humor of this Louisiana family that keeps people coming back for more. Fans anxiously tune in to see what kind of trouble the bearded down home boys are going to get into next. Whether Miss Kay is in the kitchen making squirrel brains, or the crew is building a redneck water park, fans are drawn to this family.

Not only are ratings always on the increase, but the Duck Commander feels that the ease of the process also gets better all the time.

"It seemed to go a lot smoother than the first season," said Willie, president of the Duck Commander company Phil founded in the 1970s. "We're all more comfortable, and even our friends around town are more comfortable seeing the production trucks and cameras."

We can expect to see promos any day now for the upcoming 13 episodes. "They're funny as heck," Willie said.

Robertson will also begin promoting season 3 at the Super Bowl and is tentatively scheduled to make an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Feb. 25.

The Duck crew remains humble about their success both in the duck call business, and in the entertainment world. They’re still surprised by the massive impact that their show has had on television.

For the most part, no one has really changed due to the fame, except Willie insists that Si has become crazier, and Jase has become lazier.

Though specific details of season 3 are limited at this point in time, we do know that there are plans for a Robertson family vacation to an undisclosed location that will be show in the finale.

"It's going to be special -- and funny," Willie said.

It’s safe to say that ‘Duck Dynasty’ fans believe the CEO. This show has never been one to disappoint, and it is reasonable to believe that season 3 will meet and exceed all expectations.

To fill the void in between seasons, A&E has continued to play re-runs of the first two seasons, and even those previously viewed episodes have scored extremely favorably on the ratings charts.

However, the wait is almost over. Mark your calendars for Feb. 27, and get ready for more laughs!
