“Duck Dynasty” is using bleeping to drown out the Robertson's words and as far as Phil is concerned, this is fake bleeping. This makes folks think the "Duck Dynasty" brood is swearing and they're not. Another bone of contention for Phil is that anytime the Robertson’s mention Jesus, this seems to get edited out. According to The Wrap via. Yahoo News on Oct. 4, Phil confronted the A&E top brass about the bleeping and the disappearing Jesus talk.
When A&E inserts the fake bleeps, this suggests that someone used profanity and the “Duck Dynasty” guys don’t do that. They don’t swear on the show as viewers might be led to think after hearing the bleeps. Phil is now pressuring the A&E to stop the practice of the fake bleeping out, as there’s “zero” profanity on the show he claims.
Another complaint that Phil had with the episodes and the footage that makes it to the air is there’s not enough Jesus. When Phil goes to say the prayer at dinner, the producers have him cut out the name of Jesus and use “our Lord” instead.
Phil said that the folks at A&E said this was done because they “don’t want to offend some of the Muslims, or something.” But he still doesn’t like having to do this. One thing he did want to get through to folks is that the bleeping is fake, the “Duck Dynasty” clan doesn’t use profanity.
