'Duck Dynasty' recap: Si 'kids around' & wins a purple gorilla (Photos)

The Wednesday, March 20 episode of A&E’s ‘Duck Dynasty’ was the ultimate night for Si Robertson fans. Uncle Si is always a hoot, but he was completely unstoppable this week.

Duck Commander Willie decides to do something nice for his employees to celebrate their countless duck calls that they have made. A casino night is arranged. The top three chip holders will each receive a prize. Jase is however, completely displeased with Willie’s pizes. Third prize is a bottle of Willie’s Mallard Merlot, and second place gets an autographed copy of Willie’s unpublished manuscript. Brother Jase complains that he has found better prizes in a Happy Meal. However, there is a $2,000 gift card being handed out to the first place winner and it goes to……..(drumroll)……Uncle Si!

Si is of course ecstatic about his victory, and the guys know that they will never hear the end of his win. What does Si decide to do with his big win? He wants a leather massage chair that he can put in the office. The recliner is a huge distraction as Jase is also taken up with it. Willie understands the fascination but doesn’t want it in the warehouse, because he needs his employees……working. Imagine that!

Phil decides to take the boys to the best kind of fishing hole, but it’s location is a mystery. The guys agree to be “Bradshawed.” “Bradshawed “ is the term that used to describe Phil’s days of taking NFL star Terry Bradshaw (his college teammate) to his confidential fishing spots. The guys must wear a bag over their head as this whole ordeal has to remain a secret until they arrive.

Meanwhile Uncle Si just cannot fulfill Willie’s request of taking his chair home, and Willie will not allow him keep it at the warehouse. As usual, the two simply aren’t willing to compromise. Willie offers to buy him some other $2,000 item instead, but he must first return the chair. Si isn’t thrilled with giving up his chair, but he decides to give Willie a hard time. He claims he is the Michael Jordan of “getting on people’s nerves,” so he uses his skills to his advantage. Willie decides that Si is like dealing with a toddler, yet knows he has to appease his victorious uncle.

Their first stop? The pizza shop…but not just any pizza shop. The best pizza shop in town, which features a “Family Fun Center” is exactly where Si wants to be. Willie isn’t happy about waiting 30 minutes for pizza, and when the two get inside they realize that they have to wait another 30. Si is completely fine with waiting, despite Wilie’s misery.

The other Robertson men arrive at Phil’s secret fishing spot. Jase isn’t too impressed since he has been there before, but the guys decide to make the most of their experience.

Si decides he wants to unleash his inner kid, and enjoy everything that the Family Fun Center has to offer. Willie is seemingly going crazier by the minute, but he has to abide by what Si wants. Si is wanting to spend Willie’s money on games while they wait for the pizza. We see him riding on a carousel, playing ski-ball, and acting like a child, while Willie watches in agony. At the ticket counter, Si is dissatisfied with his prize options. He wants the giant gorilla that costs 5,000 tickets. Willie gives in, and buys $200 worth of tokens so that Si can have his purple stuffed animal that he claims has been there since John Luke was 8. Si says winning tickets is all about finding the sweet spot, and the veteran winds up retrieving an excessive amount of tickets. He takes the massive tangled up ball of tickets to the counter, and walks away with his desired gorilla toy.

Back at the mysterious pond, Phil sees law enforcement coming, and takes off, leaving the men who he drove there to fend alone. Jase realizes this is a “every man for himself” kind of deal. The officer wants to know who was shooting guns, and asks them to leave.

Si kept track of Willie’s spending and announces that they only spent $1,600 which leaves $400 remaining. The left over money ends up going towards pizza to feed the whole crew. Oh well, at least Willie has paid up!
