‘Duck Dynasty,’ part 2 of episode 2, that aired on Weds. Mar. 6 was undeniably just as hilarious as part 1.
Predictably, Uncle Si happens to go see Willie every time he is on an important call. This time, Willie is on the phone with the police. He is excited about the ride-along that he has been invited on. Of course Uncle Si wants to tag along, and even goes as far as to compare the trio to “Charlie Angels” as an excuse to accompany them. He told Willie he was coming along, which of course meant there was nothing the duck commander could do to avoid the extra company.
Martin brings a lizard to the duck call room as part of a Science project he is working on. Though the lizard is there to get rid of crickets, the grown men seem to be terrified of the little creature.
Officer McGrew meets Willie for his ride-along. Much to Willie’s disapproval Uncle Si is already there in a bulletproof vest. He says he doesn’t remember anything about Si being invited on the adventure, but Si fires back with saying that he was there first.
As viewers probably assumed ahead of time, Si wasn’t about to change his mind. As the trio begins their day, Si informs the police officer that they just have too many weapons, and tells him some “facts” that he knows about law enforcement. The officer tells Si that it just doesn’t sound correct. As Uncle Si rides shotgun (no pun intended), Willie is stuck in the back. The Officer informs Willie that people often go to the bathroom back there or puke, to which Willie replies that he might puke.
Back at the warehouse, the not-so-hardworking employees are on a mission for a missing lizard. They can’t find the terrifying science project anywhere. Jep suggests calling Phil, and Jase agrees. Miss Kay answers the call, and declares that it sounds like a pioneer situation. Phil claimed he was busy until he was told that an elusive animal was on the loose. Just those words alone caused Phil to fold up the foot rest, and to jump out of his camo chair faster than you can say, “duck.”
A classic line is heard in the warehouse, “Let’s take a break until he gets here.” “Good call.”
Meanwhile, Willie is hoping for some action on his ride along. Disappointingly Si and Willie aren’t find any real law breakers out on the road ways. Out of boredom and experimentation, Willie and Phil both punch their mph speed for the speed gun. Si said that Willie didn’t do so bad for a fat man, while Willie claims that Si’s didn’t even register.
As the two are bantering back and forth, Jase’s wife Missy is spotted doing an astounding 2 mph over the speed limit. Si and Willie of course can’t let this criminal go, and talk the police officer into pulling her over.
Phil arrives at the warehouse with two massive weapons saying, “We can go loud or silent and deadly.”
Martin informs him that the animal can’t be killed because he’s his school project. After jabbing Martin about his age, he informs him that he is a graduate student.
“I came here to kill….not mess around with a lizard,” responded Phil.
Even though it wasn’t the experience Phil hoped it would be, he opts to use the “Louisiana Flour Trap” to catch Martin’s science project.
“I don’t think they have a course on trapping elusive lizards,” said Phil.
Back in the police car, the Robertson law enforcement crew is abusing their power. As Missy steps out of the car, Willie approaches her. With a shocked face she looks at her brother-in-law, and says, “WHAT!?” She knew she wasn’t speeding, but they told her that no one is above the law. Si even suggests checking her for drugs to which the Officer says won’t be necessary. Willie told her that they saved her life. Missy’s response? “Yours may be in jeopardy after this.”
The lizard trapping wasn’t as easy as the guys had anticipated. Jase wonders who the hunter is, and who is being hunted. The lizard does however make a trail through the flour, leading Phil to his location.
Phil can’t get over how scared the guys are of the small creature, and said something along the lines of, “Godwin is clutching a frying pan and Jase is about as jittery as a sinner on Sunday.”
Much to the guy’s relief, the lizard is found. Missy, Willie, and everyone walked in to the flour mess. Willie reminded them that Louisiana Flour Traps are meant for outside, and wanted the mess cleaned up. Good luck, duck commander!
Around the Robertson dinner table, Willie informs Jase this his wife got a speeding ticket to which Jase said, “Come Again!”
