"Duck Dynasty" pay has gone up. The reality television show has had some great success and that means a pay raise for the people on it. On Aug. 15, the Christian Post reported that the Robertson's will be getting a whopping $200,000 per episode -- yes, per episode, not season!
"The family will earn more than $200,000 per episode, which will be divided among the 9 adults and 11 children on the show. The pay raise is four times as much as they were earning for previous episodes," the Christian Post reports. So, if you do the math, that's $10,000 per cast member per episode. Multiply by say 10 episodes? Yeah, that's a pretty decent paycheck.
The "Duck Dynasty" pay increase made news on Thursday mainly because this A&E show has become so popular. After the finale amassed 9.6 million total viewers, A&E knew they had a hit on their hands -- so they had to pay their "talent" accordingly. Don't forget that the Robertson's still make money from their business -- they own and operate "Duck Commander," a company that makes duck calls.
Over the past year or so, the Robertson's have become a staple in television line-ups and millions of people have become fascinated with the "guys with the beards."
"Duck Dynasty" pay increases could keep coming if the show manages to keep the ratings up next season. Do you watch "Duck Dynasty"?
