"Duck Dynasty" granted FOX an interview -- their first interview since patriarch Phil Robertson was suspended by A&E and then allowed to return to filming just a few days later. On Jan. 1, Yahoo! News reported that Willie Robertson agreed to sit down and chat with Bill Hemmer and Elizabeth Hasselbeck and when he was asked about the situation involving his dad, Phil, he took the high road.

"We're just glad to be back to work, and A&E and us are fine," said Willie. Determined to stay focused on their "family values," Willie and his wife, Korie, kept things very light and breezy when it came to discussing the huge controversy surrounding their family.

The "Duck Dynasty" FOX interview certainly wasn't ground breaking but it was smart of Willie to just keep calm and focus on the New Year as a new beginning and a chance for his family to move on. While there are still people who are furious over Phil Robertson's anti-gay comments, the entire Robertson clan is ready for 2014 and they are hoping to put everything behind them, lessons learned.

"We're looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows. It's a New Year so we're ready to break in a New Year and start it all over again. We're ready to move on, you know. I think we all learned a lot and we're just ready to move on, and the family's happy, and we're ready to go. I've got to make sure my guys are back there building duck calls," Willie added.

The "Duck Dynasty" FOX interview aired on New Year's Eve. Do you think Willie did the right thing by keeping calm and not stirring the pot? Did you expect him to defend his dad?
