There is a "Duck Dynasty" "DWTS" connection in the works for season 19. Reports have revealed that Sadie Robertson will dance her way over to ABC to appear on season 19 of the reality competition series. Neither Sadie nor her family confirmed the casting reports, but the news did create a great amount of buzz when the reports surfaced online on Thursday. The Christian Post reported on Sadie's casting on Aug. 28.

The cast for season 19 of "Dancing with the Stars" will not be announced officially until next Thursday, but Sadie is rumored to have joined the cast for the new season. Rumors like this are not uncommon. Fans and others often speculate about the casting selections before ABC officially announces the celebrities that will join the series.

However, Sadie's selection seems to be a lock. Candace Cameron Bure, a contestant on season 18 of the reality series, even expressed her own excitement over Sadie Robertson's joining the cast on her Twitter on Thursday. Other less famous fans of the series expressed their excitement on Twitter as well, and they promised to vote for Sadie if she does appear on the competition. One fan said the following on Twitter, according to Christian Post:

"@SadieRob is going to be on #DWTS next season. I know who I'm voting for."

Sadie Robertson is a 17-year-old model, and she is best known for appearing on her family's reality television series. Her parents are Willie and Korie Robertson. Earlier this year, her mother talked about Sadie's desire to appear on "Dancing with the Stars."

Willie and Korie recently spoke out about the ratings decline the family's reality show. "Duck Dynasty" has seen this decline since the Phil Robertson GQ scandal earlier this year. The premiere for season six had a viewership of 4.3 million. This is a sharp drop from the 8.5 million viewers that tuned in to see the fifth season premiere earlier this year. That was even a drop. Season five premiered immediately following the scandal over Phil Robertson's comments about homosexuals. His comments put the show's future in doubt, and ratings did drop for the fifth season. Willie said the following about the decline in ratings, according to Fox News:

"To some extent it's a natural cycle of any show. You have ups and you have downs… [This season] was aired in the summer which is when not as many people are watching TV. Those things affect it. It's about what you're up against too so a lot of factors play into that. We just do what we do...I mean it's the top show on cable. I think anybody would kill to have a top show on cable, you know, for one night of the week so we feel like it's not as bad [as people say]."

Willie went on to say that the family is still seeing the same amount of support from their fans when they attend events. Their ratings may have dropped, but they are still the top rated reality series on cable television. Will Sadie's appearance on "Dancing with the Stars" this season bring new fans to the reality series? It is possible. It is safe to say that it won't hurt the family any.

"Pretty Little Liars" star Janel Parrish, athlete Lolo Jones, and actor Antonio Sabato Jr. are all listed as a part of the season 19 cast. There are big changes for season 19. Julianne Hough has joined the judging panel, and some of the professional dancers have exited the reality series. Fans will need to tune in to "Good Morning America" on Sept. 4 to learn the official cast for season 19 of "DWTS."
