A new episode of “Duck Dynasty” aired on Wed. night, Aug. 28, and fans were waiting by the television for the half-hour show. This week, Johnny Godwin took the center role in the storyline; last week it was Martin. These guys are like family, but they are not technically Robertsons.
It was decided that Godwin was always helping the others with tasks, but he had not cashed in his favors in the “good ole’ boys lend a hand” system. So, they asked him what he would like to do, and he surprised them all with his desire for a hot tub.
Well, that doesn’t sound too terribly hard or time-consuming to do, but that was before he told them he had a budget of $200. So, the guys from Duck Commander were out trying to purchase and haul a used hot tub for Godwin while Jase was freaking out about germs. (Do you remember the water park trip Kay was planning during the heat wave? Jase nixed it because of germs and created a “redneck waterpark” on the Robertson land.)
The funny thing was that Godwin wanted the hot tub installed in the front yard. The guys tried to get him to do the normal thing and put it in the back, but he insisted that he wanted to sit in his hot tub and watch the cars go by. This is why we all love "Duck Dynasty." They just don't care about the social norms that regulate most people's lives.
