The "Duck Dynasty" season 4 premiere annihilated the competition with a record 11.8 million viewers. The show's success and popularity prompted the Washington Examiner to start a buzz rumor eluding to Willie Robertson, one of the show's stars, throwing his hat in the ring for a possible run for congress in his home state of Louisiana.
Grasping at straws and hoping to use the show's popularity, a poll was conducted to determine the state's interest in Robertson as a serious candidate, according to a Aug. 19, report in the New York Daily News.
The results were not favorable. A large number of those polled were not in favor of Robertson, 41 percent. Not that Robertson actually had any interest in a public office?
The rumors and poll were purely speculative. Additionally, the voters were asked which member of the show is the most popular. The results were in favor of Si Robertson.
It's life imitating art, as Si Robertson seems to always have the last word on the show. Although the results were close in the vote for favorite Robertson, Willie Robertson at 24 percent and Si Robertson at 25 percent.
