Duchess Kate wore a tiara! Stop the presses! The Duchess of Cambridge attended a "white tie ball" at Buckingham Palace on Dec. 3 wearing a diamond tiara -- and looking stunning per usual. According to Mail Online, Duchess Kate was photographed on her way to the Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace with her husband Prince William by her side -- and people couldn't stop talking about that tiara!
"With her long, dark locks swept back in a half-up half-down hairstyle to show off the delicate diamonds to their best advantage, the Duchess, 31, looked more regal than ever. The Duchess was wearing a bespoke evening gown by Alexander McQueen," Mail Online reports.
Duchess Kate's tiara really complimented her look -- but since she doesn't often wear jewels on her head, people loved seeing her looking like a real life princess (even though she does look regal on a daily basis). This particular tiara once belonged to Princess Margaret according to the Palace.
"It was made from one of her wedding gifts, a necklace of a Greek key pattern with pendant diamonds and pearls given by her husband, the future George VI. Jewellers Garrard dismantled it and created a tiara instead," Mail Online reports. This is one of the only times that Kate Middleton wore a crown since her 2011 wedding.
