Duchess Kate resumes public engagements visiting Grimsby! (Photos)

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge is officially back to her public engagements as she visited the North East of England earlier today, March 5, 2013.

The Duchess of Cambridge, now several months pregnant, spent the day at the English seaside town of Grimsby in Lincolnshire, visiting points of interest such as the National Fishing Heritage Centre.

Dressed stylishly in her chocolate brown winter coat by Hobbs, which has a matching slim leather belt at the waist and matching tiny leather belts at the cuffs.

The slightly flared Hobbs coat reportedly retails around $560 and did a great job hiding the Duchess’s baby bump, though she is entering the sixth month of her pregnancy!

Leaving her long brown hair loose to flow over her shoulders, Catherine also accessorized with dangling earrings, black gloves, a black clutch bag and black suede pumps.

Fans waiting outside the National Fishing Heritage Centre (and hopefully Duchess Kate) were treated to the sudden appearance of a man dressed in a St George costume, brandishing a toy sword and wearing the Union Jack on his helmet, who rode past on a motorcycle that was outfitted as a dragon, complete with talons and ridges on its green back!

At the National Fishing Heritage Centre, Catherine sat at the Skipper's Table next to a lifelike dummy of the Ship's Mate that has his eyes downcast as though taking a peek at her baby bump. Talk about an eerie coincidence!

Kate also met with former trawler-man John Vincent who took her on a mini tour of the Heritage Centre.

As part of her visit to Grimsby, Duchess Kate received flowers from several children including three-year-old Isobelle Laursen as she visited Humberside Fire and Rescue Peaks Lane Fire Station.

Waiting for her outside the fire station were several residents of nearby St. Andrews Hospice, many sitting in their wheelchairs, perhaps their last chance to see Kate or a member of the British monarchy in person.

At Humberside, Kate met members of the Green Watch and Princes Trust volunteers and Fire crew officers.

The 31-year-old former Kate Middleton, also stopped at the Havelock Academy where she was shown artwork and photographs taken by students and watched their performances.

A Palace official has stated that the Duchess’s arrival via helicopter was delayed by thick fog, visible in some of the photographs in my slideshow. However, the day was undoubtedly a great success!

And as for the royal “baby bump,” you can’t find it anywhere… Enjoy the slideshow of Kate’s visit to Grimsby!
