The Duchess Kate pregnancy bets are coming in fast and furious! In fact they have been coming in at such a record pace that they have been suspended for the time being. According to a Daily Mail report on July 15, bookmakers have suspended betting on a royal pregnancy announcement this month after a ton of wagers were placed in such a short time.

Just like when a "hot pick" is placed here in the US on a "can't lose" NFL or MLB pick of the week, the sports book that was taking action on the Duchess has pulled back the limits for now. The bookmaker Coral had been offering odds as high as 10/1 on the Duchess of Cambridge announcing a second pregnancy in the month of July . However after a flurry of action they slashed the odds to even money before pulling the plug entirely.

When it comes to gaming, sports books are always in the know. So wagering on the Denver Broncos big when you hear Peyton Manning is out of the game or betting if Kate is pregnant is no different to the books that take the action. Money is money, period.

Well, after rumors from good sources starting spreading that Kate is pregnant, the sports books had no choice but to cut the wagering for the time being. Rumor has it according to a Christian Post report that a former school friend of Kate's recently told an Australian magazine that the Duchess "confirmed" a second pregnancy.

"Kate's inner circle are buzzing with the news that she is pregnant," Jessica Hay told New Day. "I've heard if from several different friends of theirs now and they're saying that they think there's going to be an official announcement in weeks."

A source like that, whether it is credible or not will make any sports book leery of taking action. With Prince George's birthday coming on July 22, speculation is that the big announcement could be coming next week. It will be interesting to see if sports books like Coral and Ladbrokes will open the gaming action once again.
