Duchess Kate has a new bodyguard after a nude photo scandal erupted last week. Kate Middleton was embarrassed after a German tabloid published photos of her naked bottom which were snapped Down Under when the wind blew her dress up. The pictures left the royal family reeling and thinking about their legal options. While they haven't filed a lawsuit just yet, there has been another step taken to ensure that this sort of thing doesn't happen again. According to The Christian Post, the bodyguard is being called a "female minder."

"The Palace has reportedly taken action to try and prevent future accidents from even happening in the first place by hiring a "female minder" to watch over Kate. The Duchess was also the subject of embarrassing photos taken while on vacation with William. Paparazzi took photos of Kate while she was topless and published them in French tabloids."

Duchess Kate's new bodyguard will likely be keeping a protective eye on her and hopefully will curb any future wardrobe malfunctions -- or at least catch them in time, before the paparazzi can sneak a picture and sell it. Obviously Kate is photographed often and sometimes things happen that are beyond her control.

According to The Mirror, the situation is already being compared to Princess Diana's life living among paparazzi and it reminds everyone of the dangers. The couple reportedly released a statement via the palace that read:

"They have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and unjustifiable manner. This is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the paparazzi during Diana’s life and the more upsetting to the duke and duchess for being so."

Will Duchess Kate's bodyguard help keep the paparazzi at bay? Do you think this was a smart move for the royals?
