According to the University of Calgary Dinos website, University of Calgary Dinos wide receiver Chris Dobko set a Dinos record Friday evening as the University of Calgary Dinos trounced the University of Manitoba Bisons 48-24 in Canadian Interuniversity Sport action Friday evening at McMahon Stadium.
Dobko became the Dinos all-time reception leader with 146 catches, breaking Don Blair's record of 138 catches.
It was also a remarkable evening for Dinos quarterback Andrew Buckley who had 512 yards passing (third most in Dinos history) and running back Mercer Timmis, who found the end zone on four separate occasions.
Buckley also proved that he is a very solid quarterback himself. The Calgary native replaced season starter Eric Dzwilewski in week one because Dzwilewski broke his foot.
The Dinos, ranked fifth in the CIS, improve to 4-0. Their next game is in Edmonton against the University of Alberta Golden Bears on September 28. Their next home game is against the University of Regina on October 18.
