Dubai blows more than 400,000 more than last record
According to Guinness World Records, the event took 10 months to plan, lasted six minutes and covered 61.6 miles. The last record was set in 2012 by Kuwait’s golden jubilee anniversary (77,282 fireworks). Guinness reported that, “Dubai’s attempt broke that (Kuwait) benchmark by some margin, with enough fireworks launched within the first minute of the display alone to surpass the previous record.”
