According to the source Sony's development team is working on new features such as biometric sensors and even a LCD touch screen. The next gen controller will emulate the PS Vita in a way. Sony is trying to compete with the Wii U's controller and Xbox's Smart Glass
Sony is expected to reveal their next gen game within the first half of this year this would include the new next gen controller as well!
