If you are a homeschooling parent of a teenager/high schooler, this meeting could be of great interest to you. Dayspring Home Educators invite students and parents interested in dual enrollment (high school students taking college courses) to attend our meeting February 8th, 2010 at White Plains United Methodist Church promptly at 7:00 pm.
Dayspring/Cary Home Educators is hosting this event with representatives from Wake Tech, NCSU, and the UNC Greensboro. With the recent changes in enrolling as a concurrent student, these speakers will be giving an overview of their programs and will be answering questions. If you have a middle school student now is the time to learn about these programs for your high school planning! If you have a high school student now is the time to take advantage of these programs!
Dual Enrollment allows homeschooled high school students to attend specific colleges for free or at discounted rates while they are still in high school. This is a great opportunity for your teen to get a jump start on their college degree and career.
The meeting will be held at White Plains Methodist Church - 313 SE Maynard Road; Cary, NC. Follow the sidewalk from the parking lot to the lower level of the Christian Life Center which is behind the Main Building.
