DuPont Industrial Biosciences is a leading global biotechnology enterprise that develops innovative enczymes and bioproducts to improve the performance and reduce the environment impact of the fuels, chemicals, cleaning, and textiles industries. They are currently seeking outstanding applicants for the following position at their enzyme manufacturing site (formerly Genencor) in Beloit, WI. A city within 25 miles of Rockford, IL.
The Process Technicians are responsible for equipment operation in ferimentation or recovery. It's a process very similar to making beer. Detailed training is provided so industrial experience is not required, but it is perferred.
You will monitor equipment and production processes to ensure maximization of enzyme manufacturing. This involves working with their process control system (DeltaV), troublingshooting equipment and interacting with engineers to optimize the process. This position works a rotating 12 hour shift, which requires working 2 weeks of day shift and then 2 weeks of night shift. With the shift schedule you will work 7 of 14 days and every other weekend.
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills and technical/mechanical troubleshooting aptitude as well as the ability to understand and execute established written instructions. Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, and SAP/ERP systems is beneficial.
Preferred qualifications include a 2 year degree (science or technical field) or previous equivalent manufacturing experience, idealy in industrial chemical or food processing. Additional requirements include excellent communication skills and the ability to lift 55 lbs. on a consistent basis and climb stairs regularly.
