A chilly northerly flow in place across the area this morning will support the development of a few lake effect rain or snow showers through mid day. High pressure will build across the area ending the precipitation threat this afternoon. It will be partly to mostly cloudy today with highs reaching the low to mid 40s.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 20s.
Monday will be mostly sunny and a little warmer with highs climbing to near 50 degrees.
Monday night will be partly cloudy with lows around 30.
Tuesday will be partly sunny and pleasant with highs in the mid to upper 50s.
Looking ahead: A storm system over the center of the nation will track east into the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley during mid week. Clouds will begin to increase on Wednesday with rain showers likely Wednesday night and Thursday as a cold front moves through. Highs on Wednesday will reach the mid 60s. High temperatures on Thursday will be in the mid to upper 50s.
Another quick shot of cold air will spread across the area on Friday. Scattered rain and snow showers are possible on Friday with highs only reaching the low to mid 40s.
