Low pressure will strengthen across the southern plains today, then move into the Mississippi and lower Ohio Valleys tonight and Tuesday. The storm will move across Ohio Tuesday night and be located near Lake Erie by Wednesday morning. Rain will continue into Tuesday night, but slight colder air wrapping into the system could cause the rain to mix with or change over to snow late Tuesday night. Lows will fall to the low 30s.
Rain and/or snow is likely on Wednesday with highs in the mid to upper 30s.
Eventually enough cold air will arrive to cause a complete change over to snow in all areas Wednesday night, with occasional snow showers persisting through Thursday and Friday as the system will be slow to exit the region. Highs both days will be in the low 30s.
