Dry conditions, seasonal temperatures for Denver’s Tuesday

The Mile High City will finally break out of the chill that had blanketed us thus far this month. Tuesday will bring temperatures right near average and the balance of the week promises even warmer weather.

For today there is a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 9:00 a.m. for the northern Front Range and parts of the northeastern plains. The fog has not come far enough south to impact the Denver metro area unlike the past couple of days.

Skies will start out mostly sunny with some increase in cloud cover during the day. Nevertheless, there will be a good bit of sun throughout. High temperatures will be about 45 degrees in town, right at the average for today’s date.

Up in the high country, they will be digging out from a four-day storm that brought extraordinary amounts of snowfall. Some locations in the northern mountains could see an additional inch or two later today.

Another system stands to bring another good shot of snow to the mountains Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. Strong winds will accompany the snow and potentially create hazardous conditions.

Here at lower elevations, conditions will be mostly dry and unseasonably warm through the weekend. There is just the slightest chance for some rain on the plains, possibly including Denver, on Friday and Saturday.

Temperatures in Denver for the rest of the week will be very pleasant. Highs on Wednesday will be in the low to mid-50s, around 60 and then the upper 50s and possibly above 60 from Thursday through Sunday.
