Druthers brewpub expansion plan under way

It won't be a year old until July, but the Druthers Brewing Company already is working on a physical expansion of its Saratoga Springs venue.

Plans call for enclosing the open lot between the brewpub and the adjacent Perry Building to accommodate a second bar, thus taking some of the pressure off the current 24-seat original bar.

If things go as planned, that will mean a portion of the outdoor patio area will be lost.

The additional bar area would include 24 seats -- the same capacity as the original bar -- plus 15 more tables. The brewpub will remain open during the construction, targeted to run from mid-April to early June.
