Most communities across the US have at least one Pagan group that comes together online, in person or sometimes both. Some of these groups are small and intended just for their city or county and others are intended to unite the entire state. Facebook group, Washington State Pagans, is one of the groups that intends to unite their state and until recently has been an online only group. Today many of the group members will be meeting for the first time face to face in an open to the public drum circle and picnic at Wright Park. The event is being called the Drum Circle in the Park Tour which will begin today, May 10, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Wright Park in Tacoma near the duck pond.
This first installment of the Drum Circle in the Park Tour is reported to take place today rain or shine. Washington State Pagans group leader (Shelly Honeysuckle) and group admin’s (Heather’s Cloaks, Heather Marseillan and David Givens) have big plans for the Drum Circle in the Park tour and have planned one even per month through October. The idea is to visit as many areas of Washington State as possible in order to draw the 300 plus members together along with their friends, family and anyone else who wants to join in together.
Washington State Pagans wishes to invite everyone in their community to drop by and say hello, take part in the drum circles, dance (belly dancers are likely to be present at all events), talk, have fun, share a picnic item and just enjoy being out in the beautiful parks across the state.
The Drum Circle in the Park Tour, presented by Washington State Pagans, is being sponsored by Honeysuckle Studios.
