The Drudge Report is reporting that Marianne Gingrich, second wife of Newt Gingrich, has given a deal-breaker interview to ABC News. Initially, ABC News seemed conflicted about when was the right and fair time to air the interview in light of the Saturday South Carolina Primary. An update to the report has a link from Breitbart reporting that the interview will likely be aired on Thursday night's Nightline.
No exact details of what Marianne Gingrich told ABC are available, but it is not hard to speculate based on past news stories of the details of the demise of their marriage. Newt, then Speaker of the House, became involved with current wife, Callista Bisek, while still married to his 2nd wife.Breitbart has this to say:
The ex-wife has said Gingrich proposed to her before the divorce from his first wife was final in 1981. Her marriage to Gingrich ended in divorce in 2000. Gingrich admitted he'd already taken up with Callista Bisek, his third wife.
Gingrich has said he has no relationship with his second wife.
Most women who watch this drama unfold will probably be somewhat synmpathic to the second Mrs. Gingrich. This writer, however, if charged with the role of Newt's jilted ex-wife, would be forced to draw attention to the current Mrs. Gingrich's unusual hair.
