The Citizen Newspaper in Fayette County, Georgia, reported yesterday, March 9, that the last few episodes are being filmed of the popular Lifetime drama. They will be finishing up the season and the show. The story was submitted by Ben Helms.

The premiere of this sixth (and last season) will air Sunday, March 23 at 9 p.m.

MacIntosh High School, here in Fayette County, Georgia, was the setting for an upcoming episode. Many other episodes have been filmed in various places like the Falcon Hangar, local restaurants, and in local homes as well.

The episode pictured above by John Munford revolves around a character cheerleader who gets over emotional and causes a scene on the basketball court. Of course, a lawsuit is involved in keeping with the genre of the show. This episode is scheduled to air in mid-May.

Emily Poole, the business retention and expansion manager for the Fayette County Development Authority tells of the great relationship the show has had with the county. The production has been good for the local economy. They have been spending a great deal of their $20 to $25 million dollar budget locally.

A huge production company, Pinewood Atlanta Studios, has completed their facility here in the county and a lot of credit goes to the Drop Dead Diva folks.
