The debut of the HTC Droid Incredible on Verizon seems like yesterday but alas, this is 2011, and the successors to the popular phones of yesteryear are upon us, and one of the devices expected to hit shelves here in San Francisco this year is the successor to the original Incredible, the HTC Incredible 2.
Or, as it might be called, the Droid Incredible 2.
Verizon’s Droid Incredible 2 has popped up over at Best Buy and it seems like it’s probably only a matter of time before Big Red announces the availability and pricing of the handset. With CTIA coming next week, that seems like it would probably be the safest bet.
It also helps that the Droid Incredible 2 appeared in its very first photos sporting Verizon branding just a few short days ago.
For those in San Francisco that missed it, the Droid Incredible 2 is going to be similar to Europe’s Incredible S. It’ll have a 4.0” Super LCD WVGA display, Android 2.3 possibly with Sense, 8MP camera w/ flash, 1.3MP front facing camera, 1Ghz Qualcomm MSM 8655 processor, 4GB internal storage, 768mb of RAM, and a 1450mAh battery.
So no LTE support, no dual-core processor but from the evidence today, it’ll apparently have the Droid branding.
Any takers in San Francisco?
