Driver uses 'dummy' passenger for carpool lane use, gets busted

See also

A driver decided to use a "dummy" passenger in his car so that he could utilize the carpool lane which requires two or more passengers in one vehicle. While you might think that his idea was genius, he totally got busted. The Washington man ended up getting pulled over for speeding -- and the state trooper didn't find his passenger dummy amusing.

It's unknown if the man was sited for anything related to the fake person -- since he wasn't caught in the actual carpool lane, there really isn't any proof that he was using the dummy for that (although it sounds like he admitted it).

This man isn't the first person to think up such an idea -- some people will do just about anything to avoid traffic. This guy's dummy is freaky -- and it looks so real! Check out the video above to see! Would you drive around with a dummy just to use the carpool lane?
