After the Driveclub release date was announced last week, the Playstation Blog is continuing its Driveclub roll-out with more information about the Playstation Plus Edition of the game.

You'll be able to download the Playstation Plus Edition, as well as purchase the full Blu-ray disc release, on Oct. 7. A one-time purchase of $49.99 can also upgrade the Playstation Plus Edition to the full game. But what exactly do you get with the free version?

With an active Playstation Plus subscription, you'll receive 11 tracks, 10 cars, the India location, and access to every game mode. The full release sports five locations (including India), 55 tracks, 50 cars, and 50 tour events, all of which can be accessed via the upgrade.

According to Sony, this divide in content is due to Driveclub's next generation launch.

DRIVECLUB is inherently next gen. It’s about accessibility for all and building a community of gamers who love online play. DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition is designed to be a quick and easy way for gamers all over the world to join the DRIVECLUB community. You can take part in all the game modes, set, send and compete in challenges, and race online against others in the DRIVECLUB community.

More Driveclub news will be posted to the Playstation Blog as the week continues.
