Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed the latest sales figures in regards to the PS4. According to a report from Market Watch on April 16, the company first confirmed that the PS4 has sold more than seven million units to customers. The next-generation system was originally released first in North America on Nov. 15 before coming out in other countries.

The hardware sales data was reported until April 6. Sony Computer Entertainment previously projected that the PS4 was going to sell 5 million systems as of March 31. So the next-generation console was able to easily surpass the targeted sales. Furthermore, the company confirmed that 20.5 million copies of PS4 video games have been sold as of April 13 at retailers and through the Playstation Store.

The company also provided a big catalog of upcoming 2014 titles that should further drive the sales of the new console. The portfolio include a few first-party games such as “Driveclub” and “The Order 1886” along with big third-party software products such as “NBA 2K15” and “The Elder Scrolls Online.” “The Witness” and several other independent videos also received a mention. You can find the statement from Sony Computer Entertainment below:

The PS4 system's games portfolio will continue to expand with highly anticipated titles such as Destiny (Activision), The Elder Scrolls Online (Bethesda), Alien: Isolation (SEGA), NBA 2K15 (2K), Watch_Dogs™ (Ubisoft Entertainment), #DRIVECLUB (SCE WWS), MLB 14: The Show (SCE WWS) and The Order 1886 (SCE WWS). The independent development community continues to deliver innovative new titles for PS4. Upcoming games for 2014 include N++ (Metanet Software), GALAK-Z: The Dimensional (17 Bit Games), Transistor (Supergiant Games), Secret Ponchos (Switchblade Monkeys Entertainment), The Witness (Thekla, Inc.), Octodad: Dadliest Catch (Young Horses) and Daylight (Zombie Studios).

“The Elder Scrolls Online” is due to come out for the PS4, along with the Xbox One, in June. The massively multiplayer online role-playing game, which was released for the PC earlier this month, requires a monthly subscription fee. However, it won’t require Playstation Plus on Sony’s platform. You can find a screenshot from the latest “Elder Scrolls” title from the official Facebook page of the video game with the photo added to the top of this article.

Sony Computer Entertainment has not yet confirmed the release dates for “Driveclub” and “The Order 1886.” However, both titles should be launching before the start of 2015. More details for the two first-party exclusives could be announced during the upcoming E3 2014 event, which takes place later this June.
