Drinks and cocktail Lessons with Hennessy Master Mixologist Jordan Bushell

I had the pleasure and honor to visit the house that Hennessy built in the Chelsea section of NYC. The visit was for some of us in the media to sit and chat with Jordan Bushell. Jordan is the master mixologist for Hennessy; I call him the MJ of mixology because his passion for making cocktails is unparalleled. Every time he talks, every time words come out of his mouth is followed by pure passion, which can be felt by anyone who hears him.

During our visit with Jordan we had three of the best summer drinks I had all summer, check out the three below:

Summer Slow Down

1.5 oz Hennessy VS

.75 oz Sloe Gin

.75 oz Fresh Meyer Lemon Juice

.5 oz Simple syrup

4 dashes Paychaud bitters

Garnish: Lemon Twist

Glass: Rocks

Method: Add all liquid to a shaker tin with ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice, garnish with a lemon twist and serve.

(C)old Fashioned

1.5 oz Hennessy VS

.25 oz Amaretto

1 oz Simple syrup

.75 oz fresh Lemon Juice

4 dashes Angostura Bitters

Garnish: Lemon Twist

Glass: Rocks

Method: Add all liquid to a shaker tin with ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice, garnish with a lemon twist and serve.

LUMIERE

1.5 oz Hennessy VS

.5 oz Aperol

.5 oz Lillet Rouge

2 dashes Angostura bitters

2 Dashes Paychaud bitters

Garnish: Lemon twist

Glass: Rocks glass

Method: add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice, stir until well chilled. Strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube.

Garnish: twist of lemon.
