It can become a hassle to find new, exciting things to do in the city of Madison. However, finding something fun to do in Madison is like finding water in a fish bowl. There are abundant opportunities for ladies to grab their friends and do something exciting and fresh, it just takes a good eye. While many of the bars downtown see much of the same crowd, by heading to the west side, there are even more great experiences to be had.
By heading just far enough to be out of the sights of all the college crowds in town, the gals can get together, relax, and have a blast whether it be on a weekend, or, better yet, a Monday evening. The Melting Pot offers a Girls Night Out special on Mondays (and now, even Tuesdays!). At $17 you can get their cheese fondue, a salad, and, of course, their delectable chocolate fondue. With all of this plus $5 specialty drinks, it's hard to resist!
After filling up on some delicious fondue and salad, with a few drinks in you, heading over to Schwoegler's Bowling Alley for a late night round of bowling already sounds entertaining. Add to this the fact that on Monday nights from 9 pm-1:30 am they have karaoke, and you're really in for a treat. You and your girlfriends can sing your hearts out to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper or, better yet, "Respect" by good old Aretha Franklin. While getting your groove on you can head to the bar for two for one drink specials from 11 pm-2 am.
After filling up on cheese, chocolate, drinks, and dancing, heading home to a nice bubble bath and a good night's sleep marks the perfect end to a perfect evening.
