While there are plenty of places in South Florida to go out drinking, there are often many issues that you have to plan for in advanced….how are you going to get there, how will you get from place to place, how will you get home, how much are all those cabs going to cost you, not to mention how much all of the drinks will cost you! Well here’s a way to find a solution and be generous at the same time!
This event takes place multiple times throughout the year. The 2012 schedule is: Friday, January 13, Saturday, April 14, Friday, June 22, and Saturday, August 25. For $20, you get to catch the Ft. Lauderdale Bus Loop to nine of the Ft. Lauderdale bars. The list of bars includes: McSorley’s, Shooters, the Blue Martinis, the Parrot, Sandbar, Tokyo Blue, Bamboo Beach and the 33rd Street Wine Bar. The best part of the event is that you even get a free drink or surprise at each location.
Multiple buses follow the loop and pass each bar every few minutes so you can stay at each place as long as you please. The buses start between 5 and 6PM and you can ride them all night long after you pay the one-time fee. For more information about this event visit busloop.org.
