Jump on the Metro Light Rail and belly up to the 2013 Phoenix Brewers Invitational Festival - a remarkable opportunity to sample and learn about a variety of craft beer styles from across the country – from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Heritage Square in downtown Phoenix.
Sixty-two breweries from across the country are scheduled to participate, which will pour more than 25 styles of handcrafted brews. Expected breweries include Lumberyard from Flagstaff; Fate Brewing from Scottsdale; Left Coast Brewing Co. of San Clemente, Calif.; Ska Brewing of Durango, Colo.; Speakeasy Ales of San Francisco; local favorite Four Peaks; among others.
The Phoenix Brewers Invitational Festival will also include a “Get Crafty” VIP area that will offer sponsors and festival participants a high end experience with some of the rarest craft beers available in the state of Arizona.
The festival’s focus is, of course, craft beer, but will also offer Arizona-based boutique wines and spirits. The event features live music, beer-related vendors, beer memorabilia displays, beer writers and publishers, home brewing demonstrations and a variety of local foods. The event also features an Arizona craft root beer garden offering complimentary handcrafted sodas for minors and designated drivers.
Admission costs $25 and includes a souvenir mug and 12 four-ounce beer samples. Day of event tickets cost $35. VIP tickets cost $125 and includes a preview party Dec. 6, an exclusive VIP beer garden, catered food, private bathrooms and more.
