For all the fans of Hornitos tequila, get ready to be blown away, depending on who you are, that can be a good or bad thing. Ok lets gets started shall we? First, Hornitos has made a tequila whiskey, second, it’s not as bad or good as it sounds, third, its actually pretty good, and you can still taste a strong hint of tequila.

Triple aged to create a uniquely complex tequila with whiskey characteristics, Hornitos Black Barrel is aged first for 12 months in American Oak barrels before transitioning into deep charred American Oak barrels for four months. In the final aging process, the liquid is transferred to specially toasted American Oak barrels for two additional months to further enhance the whiskey-like notes of this one-of-a-kind premium tequila.

Black Barrel is for anyone that’s a tequila fan and or a whiskey fan. If you’re new to whiskey this is a great starting point. For those true tequila fans, this might take a while to get used too, as well as those faithful to whiskey and hate change, give it a 1st, 2nd, and even a third taste before making a decision. The new tequila-whiskey is available NOW for around of $29.99 per 750ml bottle.
