If you haven't already re-retired your painter's cap, you'll need it for DRI's return to Austin at the Beauty Ballroom on Wednesday, March 9th. Apparently it changed from Emo's, but the venues are adjacent so it's no imposition. Let's hope they hose all the hipster slurm off the walls in time.
The band was in the news recently as Spike Cassidy had been hospitalized with complications from a colonectomy, but apparently the durable guitarist is back on his feet and ready to hammer out some essential crossover thrash the way we all love it. There's only one DRI, and if anything Spike's health concerns are a reminder that no good band should be taken for granted. Go out and circle pit like the good old days before Pantera ruined everything!
