Drew Barrymore's sister, Jessica Barrymore, was found dead in her car on Tuesday morning. 10 News shared the details on Tuesday. Sadly it seems that there may have been pills involved in Jessica's death.

Jessica and Drew share the same father, John Barrymore, though technically they are half-sisters as they have different mothers. Jessica, 47, was found when a woman, Marta Lopez, saw Barrymore's car blocking her National City, California driveway. Lopez approached the car and tried to communicate with the person inside, but apparently it was too late.

Barrymore had a SoBe energy drink between her legs, and it seems there were dozens of white pills littering the passenger seat. Lopez called the police and Barrymore was determined to be deceased already. Neighbors reportedly have indicated that Barrymore's car was parked in the area around midnight, and it was about 6 a.m. Tuesday morning when Lopez found her.

As the New York Daily News shares, Drew has released a statement regarding Jessica's death. It seems the two women were never close, and actually they barely knew one another over the course of their lives. Drew shared, “Although I only met her briefly, I wish her and her loved ones as much peace as possible.” She added, “I'm so incredibly sorry for their loss.” Those who previously worked with Jessica are saddened and shocked by her death, praising her sense of humor, helpful nature and positive attitude.

While authorities have not released an official cause of death, it seems suicide is suspected. As fans of Drew's know, she had a very challenging upbringing and a complicated family life. While Drew and Jessica never had much of a relationship, her fans are touched to see her reaching out to Rebecca's loved ones at this time. Fans are sending their condolences to the actress as the news about Drew Barrymore's sister's death spreads.
