Katherine Webb. Abby Manning. Kelsi Reich. Candice Crawford. Hayden Panettiere. Melissa Molinaro. Traci Johnson. The NFL's hottest girlfriends are constantly observed in one of the toughest styles to pull off: The Sports Fan. So how do they pull it off? Read below to rock the Game Day look:
Rule #1: If you're going to wear something baggy, you should (almost) always wear something tight to show some form of body shape.
In other words, if you're going to wear that big, long jersey he gave for you to wear during his game, make sure you compliment it with skinny jeans (preferably dark blue or black; but this also depends on the color of the jersey!).
Rule # 2: Don't show too much skin (or shape)
Showing off too much skin can give off the wrong impression--especially in a testorone-filled environment. You don't want your boyfriend to think you're dressing for his (or the opponents') fans --or for them to even THINK that you are!
Rule # 3: Wear the Team Colors
If you're not wearing a jersey, wear his team's colors. You don't want to be the only orange shirt in a crowd full of blue and white.
Rule #4: Dress Comfortably
You don't want to have to adjust yourself every five seconds; you and everyone around you will feel uncomfortable. Plus, adjusting yourself too frequently is often seen as an insecurity. So make sure your clothes are comfortable enough to sit and walk around in for at least 4 hours.
Rule # 5: Check the Weather
The worst thing to do is to get to the ball game just when it starts raining, especially if you have spent hours getting ready. Prevent this by checking the weather and bringing layers (especially if its a night game!). You may need a jacket when the temperature drops anyway and you don't want to have to ask a nearby fan to borrow his...
Rule # 6 : Don't Over-Accessorize
Jewelry is a great way to spice up outfits outside of the sports arena, but when it comes to Game Day, make sure you're not over doing it. Simple earrings and a cute bracelet may do the trick, but even that may be over kill. If you do accessorize, wear the team's hat. Being able to rock a hat will give you extra bonus points with the boyfriend, especially if you pull it off well. To girly up your appearance, wear light-colored (or a redder-tone, if you're daring) lipstick and simple earrings.
The best Game Day style is usually a rolled up teeshirt with the team name or mascot name on it and skinny jeans (remember, not TOO skinny!). Top these off with a cap, earrings and converses (or Jack Rodgers, depending on the weather) and you're Game!
