The fourth annual Zumix Run to the Beat 5K, sponsored by Massport, Merrill Lynch, East Boston Neighborhood Health, and Otis and Ahern Real Estate, takes place on Sunday, September 29 at 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. What sets this particular race apart from others is Run to the Beat 5K encourages participants to dress as a favorite music artist or group!
Run to the Beat 5K is an incredible chance to see the gorgeous sights of Boston, run to motivating music that will transcend the entire course, and pay tribute to a favorite music artist or icon. Represent any artist from AC/DC, James Taylor, Katy Perry, Frank Sinatra, to ZZ Top!
Go as a solo artist or bring a group of friends dressed as a favorite band or group! The fastest runners and the best dressed will be awarded prizes at the event. The costume categories range from Best Super Group, Hardest to Run In, and Best Solo Artist.
Snacks and refreshments will be available on race day. Proceeds will support Zumix, a non-profit organization geared toward providing music lessons and other technology to low income families.
