Some very special guests from Dreams Come True will be joining in the celebration of "Disney On Ice," by attending Mickey and Minnie's Summer Fun Camp. Committed to making dreams come true, the non-profit organization, Dreams Come True, founded in 1984, benefits children battling life-threatening illnesses in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. The children and their families are invited to a special outdoor campground adventure this Thursday, April 8th from 11:30 - 12:45 p.m.
Physical and mental challenges will be presented to each Dreamer in several interactive activities. These challenges include Mickey and Minnie’s Tent Building, Tink(erbell)’s Incredible Jumper (hopscotch obstacle course), Beauty & The Beast Flower Garden, Simba’s Pride Rock (Big Slide) and more! Upon completion of the adventure areas the participants and their families can enjoy a special meet and great photo opportunity with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
In addition, there will be a Campfire Sing-A-Long and a campground picnic lunch under the trees. Teens for Dreams who are dedicated to making events like this possible by aiding Dreams Come True, are local high school volunteers/teens who will be camp counselors throughout the festivities
The media are invited and encouraged to participate in this event and there will be members of Teens for Dreams available for interview by request. This is a wonderful way to get the word out about this wonderful celebration to help in making Dreams Come True.
Mickey and Minnie's Summer Fun Camp will be located on the grassy plaza at the corner of A.Philip Randolph and Duval Street at the corner of Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena located at 300 A. Philip Randolph Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32202 map (904) 630-3900
