‘Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey’ Kickstarter goal funded 21 days early

The kickstarter for the point and click adventure game, “Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey” has met its goal on Feb. 16, 2013, with 21 days to spare. If you’d like to still back this project, you can still do so until the Kickstarter campaign closes on Sunday, Mar. 10, 2013.

“Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey” is the third game in the series, beginning with “The Longest Journey” which released in 1999, and “Dreamfall: The Longest Journey” which released in 2006. All of the games are point and click adventure games. The new game in series continues to follow the story of Zoë Castillo, known as the Dreamer. It will be overseen by the series' original creator, Ragnar Tørnquist.

Kickstarter is a website that has enjoyed quite a bit of success recently, especially in the video game industry. Projects such as the new kind of video game console, Ouya, which raised $8,596,474 when their goal was $950,000, and the game from Double Fine, “Double Fine Adventure” which raised $3,336,371 when their goal was $400,000.
