The shop was the brain child of Linda Minor, who describes her gallery and the opportunity to service others as “the desires of my heart.” The Bead Me Gallery is a full service bead shop that offers so much more than a traditional bead shop environment.
Specializing in customized jewelry, Bead Me selection includes several copper pieces, which Minor describes as “part of her signature style.” She also uses diverse stones from Asia and Africa and a universal selection of gemstones which include classic pearls, semi-precious gemstones, Swarovski crystals, larimar, coral, turquoise, and tourmaline.
As a member of the North Carolina Society of Goldsmiths, Minor is the only professional in the Charlotte area who offers a full metal workshop, and she also offers classes in her gallery for anyone who in interested in learning more about the art of jewelry making. Or if a private jewelry party is more to your liking, Bead Me can host the festive function.
Considering when would be a good time to check out Linda and her Bead Me Gallery? On the first Friday of every month, our South End area hosts a Gallery Crawl for blossoming artist and galleries in the area. Bead Me is one of several galleries participating and welcomes aspiring artists to showcase their work in her gallery. The Gallery Crawl runs from 6:00 to 9:00pm. And if those aren’t enough reasons to check out this jewelry gallery filled with one-of-a-kind pieces, Minor realizes the importance of giving back to her community and therefore, supports A Child's Place and other organizations.
