Dreadbringer Lampads is a new black "Magic: The Gathering" card featured in the "Pantheon's Power" Intro Pack from Wizards of the Coast's expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set "Journey Into Nyx."
Dreadbringer Lampads - 4B
Enchantment Creature - Nymph (Common)
Constellation - Whenever Dreadbringer Lampads or another enchantment enters the battlefield under your control, target creature gains intimidate until end of turn. (It can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or creatures that share a color with it.)
Sure Dreadbringer Lampads only has a toughness of two, however you're overlooking the obvious: Its low toughness won't matter because in the right deck there's a high chance your opponent won't even be able to block it.
One of the reasons Dreadbringer Lampads is much stronger than it seems is because you'll be able to use its ability right away on one of your creatures. That in itself makes Dreadbringer Lampads a creature to be wary of, especially in limited games. And if Dreadbringer Lampads sticks around longer than just a turn? Forget about it.
Dreadbringer Lampads may not be as glamorous as cheaper constellation creatures such as Underworld Coinsmith or Grim Guardian, nevertheless it can make a large impact on the outcome of your duel. It'll trigger your Harvestguard Alseids or Doomwake Giant and survive through an Extinguish All Hope.
How will you use Dreadbringer Lampads?
