If South Korea is in your jet-setter plans this year, check out the Park Hyatt Busan, which opens on March 1, 2013. The property is a show-stopper designed by Pritzker-prize winner Daniel Libeskind, that is centered in South Korea’s second largest city in the iconic l’Park development in Marine City, which is adjacent to Haeundae Beach, the hotel will offer the largest rooms and suites in Busan.
Libeskind, who designed the hotel to reflect the dramatic beauty and power of the environment, created a leit motif of curvilinear geometry and glass façade inspired by the wind filling the sails of a ship, the waves of the Haeundae Ocean, and the camellia – Busan’s flower.
Interiors were designed by award-winning, Japan-based Super Potato. Each of the 269 rooms and suites feature natural elements including French oak flooring, granite stone bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for spectacular views of the ocean, Gwangan Bridge and the Yacht Marina. The hotel feels like a home with The Dining Room and The Living Room providing a residential ambiance. Each is located on the top three floors of the 33-story hotel.
Every new built has a spa and the Busan is no exception with it Lumi Spa & Fitness center that covers three full floors. There's a 65-foot, indoor, glass-enclosed swimming pool and whirlpool with full ocean views, seven treatment rooms, men’s and women’s saunas, Korean scrub services, 24-hour gymnasium with private fitness studios and a golf simulation driving range.
