Drake shone during his appearance last night (1015/11) on NBC’s "Saturday Night Live.”
Billboard.com reports today (10/16/11) that the Canuck rap superstar, who began his career as an actor on CTV’s Degrassi: The Next Generation, tore through 2 tracks of his upcoming album Take Care, and also displayed his acting/comedic chops, performing in a skit with SNL’s Jay Pharoah and digital short with Andy Samberg.
Drizzy and Jay Pharoah barged in on “Weekend Update" as 2 adults dressed up like "Teen Wolf" and performed a Halloween song called "Bag Jackin'." "I would trick or treat, but I'm too old now…So I snatch your bag so I don't look like a pedophile," rapped the 24-year old Toronto, ON native.
“The Best I Ever Had” hitmaker also played himself in a Digital Short with Andy Samberg, decked out in a particularly gruesome sweater.
The highlight was Drake’s performance of his new single “Headlines,” and, helped by a surprise guest appearance Nicki Minaj, a live rendition of his the just-released track "Make Me Proud."
Last week, the multi-award winning Young Money star pushed back the release of his highly anticipated 2nd studio album Take Care from Oct 24 (his birthday) to Nov 15 (11/15/11) due to licensing issues, and has also postponed his forthcoming fall “Club Paradise” tour until 2012.

Did you know? Drake posted an announcement last week his October’s Very Own website, explaining the Take Care postponement decision was made so he could include 3 samples that he is currently waiting on.
