On Feb. 1 American rapper Drake premiered his new single "Started From the Bottom" on his official website. It is the lead single from Drake's still untitled upcoming third studio album. You can listen to Drake's new single "Started From the Bottom" here.
Drake did not do any press, or have a big release for the song, he simply posted the audio on his website. The song is just under three minutes long and the lyrics revolve around where he came from, and how he worked to get his status as a rap artist.
On his official website Drake said, "I feel sometimes that people don't have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn't consistent with actual events. My family and my second family (consisting of the best friends anybody could ever have) all struggled and worked extremely hard to make all this happen. I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve."
The song "Started From the Bottom" is the first single Drake has released since "HYFR (Hell Ya F**king Right)" in 2012. His upcoming third studio album will be his first full length studio released since "Take Care" in 2011. Drake is planning to tour in 2013.
