Drake has posted the first of several new songs anticipated to drop prior to year's end, kicking off with a remix of Soulja Boy's "We Made It.'
Posting to his official Twitter account on Dec. 28, the superstar Canuck rapper announced the 5:38 minute remix, titled "We Made It Freestyle" featuring Soulja, by tweeting, "New Year's Eve anthem on deck."
Reducing Soulja Boy's role on the track to a glorified yesman, the Grammy winning hip hop artist is feeling on top of the world as 2014 approaches, demonstrated by the laundry list of accomplishments he rattles off during the song, crowing, “My resolution for New Year’s is ni**a-, we made it.”
Drizzy teased that his next release will be a new song entitled, "Trophies," a Hit-Boy-produced track which was first previewed in a trailer for his latest studio album, "Nothing Was the Same."
His hugely successful third studio release debuted at No. 1 in Canada and the U.S. and has spawned six successful singles.
The multi-Juno winner recently wrapped up the North American leg of his Would You Like A Tour? and will kick off a round of dates in the U.K., beginning March 11 in Manchester, England at Phones4U Area.
Did you know? Drake will pull double duties, making his "Saturday Night Live" debut as host, as well as encoring as a musical guest when the popular NBC sketch comedy returns on Sat., Jan. 18, 2014.
