Drake returns to “Saturday Night Live” on Jan. 18, 2014, this time doing double duty as both host of he show and musical guest. The rapper performed was on the show once before back in 2011 when Anna Faris hosted.

To promote Saturday night’s show, Drake was joined by cast members Bobby Moynihan and Jay Pharoah in a number of skits.

In the hilarious spots, Bobby thinks Drake should use some “cool cats” in his next song; Jay makes an unexpected request of the Canadian rapper; Drake appears to make fun of his “Degrassi” days by showing Bobby how good he is at acting; Bobby fails to impress Drake; Jay has some strange musings about ducks; Bobby informs Drake he likes to mix “hot mom beats;” Jay tries to convince Drake he really does mix beats; and when Drake doesn’t believe either of them, Bobby and Jay tell the performer in unison that they mix beats.

Drake’s latest album, Nothing Was the Same, dropped in Sept. 2013, so he’ll likely be performing tunes from it on “SNL.”

Drake is host and musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” Jan. 18, 2014 at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
